Listen to Podcast of the Show

joel_bioJoel Grushkin discussed cost segregation. Having more than thirty years of executive experience, Joel is currently the San Diego Regional Director of Cost Segregation Initiatives (CSI). Cost Segregation is the IRS approved method of re-classifying components and improvements of a commercial building resulting in a reduced income tax liability and an increased cash flow. Cost Segregation is applicable to both owners and lessees. Grushkin’s consulting firm focuses on cost flow analysis and cost segregation for owners of commercial properties nationally. Throughout his career, Joel has preformed this type of analysis for the owners of a large range commercial properties. Some of the property types include restaurants, medical facilities, shopping centers, hotels, multi-family residences, and automotive dealerships.

Along with his work as Regional Director, Joel is a core member of Financial Service Resource Group (FSRG) and Strategic Trusted Advisors Roundtable (STAR). With his extensive consulting experience and his experience as CEO, COO, and CFO for holding companies that offered their services to those of the financial, real estate, automotive, and other industries, Joel’s discussion is illuminating for those who are searching for ways to make their commercial properties increase net cash flow.
