On February 24th, your host Richard Muscio signed some books at Warwick’s in La Jolla.
Richard is the author of So, What’s Your Play? How Billie Jean, Bobby and Blindness Begat Tolerance
Richard was the scrapbook maker for tennis player Bobby Riggs in the early 1970s. It was appropriate that he should sign books at Warwick’s because that’s where all of the supplies were purchased for the scrapbooks. Richard gave a short talk about the historical events chronicled in the book. He also shared some of the personal reactions and phone calls he receives weekly from women who never realized “how many shoulders they were standing on” in terms of equal access to opportunity for women.
