Richard welcomed the father-daughter team of Ray Johnson and Megan Johnson McCullough.
Ray Johnson is basketball royalty in San Diego. As the boy’s basketball coach at nearby El Camino High School for 33 years, Johnson holds the most wins (763) in CIF-San Diego Section history. At El Camino, Johnson produced 23 Avocado League crowns, 16 trips to the CIF-San Diego Section finals, eight CIF-San Diego Section titles and 14 visits to the CIF State Championship playoffs. In his two stints at El Camino (1980-08, 2010-13), Johnson went 763-229 (.769) overall. His incredible career earned him induction into the California High School Coaches Hall of Fame in 2011. He was the 2004 California State Coach of the Year and the National Coach of the Year Runner-up by the National High School Coaches Association. He was the Division I State High School Coach of the Year in 2003 and was inducted into the San Diego Hall of Sports Champions in 2002 with the Basketball Coaching Achievement Award.
In 2016 Ray was named to B.J. Foster’s coaching staff at Cal State University San Marcos. Before coming to CSUSM, Johnson spent two seasons from 2014-16 at NCAA Division I Loyola Marymount on Mike Dunlap’s staff.
Megan Johnson McCullough owns a fitness studio in Oceanside, California-Every BODY’s Fit. Her background has always been in sports and she received a full ride college basketball scholarship to play at Metro State in Denver, Colorado. She then received her M.A. in Physical Education and Health Science. Megan’s motto is that every BODY deserves to become the best versions of themselves. Her FIT Life YouTube channel has many videos demonstrating her fitness techniques.
Megan has been a trainer for 12 years and has accumulated many certifications. She is an elite NASM Master Trainer and a professional natural bodybuilder; she is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association (NESTA). She is also a certified Group Exercise Instructor by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and also owns certificatons in Aqua, Cycle, Yoga, and Zumba. Megan also recently received the title of Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Senior Fitness Specialist. She wishes to spread her approach to health and wellness with others and relay her passion for fitness and exercise with the community. Megan is a certified Wellness Coach from The Spencer Institute, earning her the title of Lifestyle and Weight Management Specialist. In 2017, Megan was also accepted into the elite Men’s Health Fitness Council.
Megan is beginning work on her Doctorate in Health and Human Performance at Concordia University.
