Fritzi Gros-Daillon worked as a senior move manager in New York for ten years and helped over 1,000 families work through the later in life transitions that included downsizing, moving and re-settling. These experiences are the basis for her national award-winning book, “Grace and Grit: Insights to Real Life Challenges of Aging for Adult Children and their Parents” published in 2014.
Fritzi founded Household Guardians in southern California to provide home accessibility and modification consulting. She is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and certification instructor for the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB). She certifies remodelers, designers, DME suppliers, occupational and physical therapists and other professionals in the three-day course. Fritzi has recently become Chief Advocacy Officer for Age Safe America, an organization whose mission is to help home safety advisors build responsible service businesses to help the aging population with fall risk reduction.
Fritzi spoke at Aging in America 2016 in Washington DC in March. She speaks nationally, regionally and locally on aging in place topics. She is on the Board of San Diego County Council on Aging and Foundation for Senior Well-Being. She is a member of the National Aging in Place Council, American Society on Aging and several local San Diego caregiver and senior professional organizations.
She received her Master’s in Business from Columbia University, is a Certified Senior Advisor, and Certified Aging-at-Home Specialist.
