    This week Richard and Joe welcome Elise Museles an attorney turned eating psychology and nutrition expert and the voice behind the insightful blog Kale & Chocolate. She also shares daily inspiration (and mouth-watering photos!) on Facebook and Instagram. She published her first book Whole Food Energy in 2016.

    A writer, teacher, speaker, and healthy lifestyle advocate, Elise helps people create a positive relationship with food and their body. She receives an annual grant to lead workshops at the National Institutes of Health and is an active member on the Environmental Working Group Board of Directors, one of America’s leading health and wellness organizations. Her advice and recipes have been published in Women’s Health, Washingtonian’s Well+Being, MindBodyGreen, and other top lifestyle and nutrition blogs. Her recipes and writings are included in the bestselling books Gutbliss, The Microbiome Solution, The Naughty Diet, Real Fit Kitchen, and The Reducetarian Solution.

    Elise holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley and a Juris Doctor Degree from George Washington University School of Law. She is also a Certified Holistic Health Coach, Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Certified Eating Psychology Coach, Institute for Psychology of Eating and holds certificates in Integrative Nutrition from Purchase College, SUNY and Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University.

    Elise lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, two sons, and adorable golden retrievers.
