Richard and Joe welcomed Russell Geyser of Geyser Holdings (formerly Gibraltar Holdings) to the show. His entrepreneurial spirit has led to great financial success in commercial and residential real estate development. He is also a producer of a couple of films in production called Stealing Cars and Lost in the Sun as well as co-founder of Ballstreet, an athletic apparel company. Mr. Geyser holds bachelor and graduate degrees from UC Berkeley, and the University of Southern California. He has been the lead sponsor for 6 years of the SES Tennis Center which benefits kids in Tecate, Mexico. He is also a former Board Member of the San Diego Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis. Mr. Geyser continues to actively pursue charitable work in the San Diego area.
An avid tennis fan and player, Geyser decided it was time to bring professional tennis back to San Diego with the San Diego Aviators, one of six teams that comprise Mylan World TeamTennis. Each tennis match is matched with a non-profit organization to generate charitable contributions for the community and youth tennis organizations. The San Diego Aviators inaugural season is July 7-26 and season tickets are now available. With seven home matches at the Valley View Casino Center (formerly the San Diego Sports Arena), and seven road matches, the San Diego Aviators are led by the best doubles team in the history of tennis, Mike and Bob Bryan; and four-time Grand Slam champion, Daniela Hantuchova. To purchase season tickets, please email info@sandiegoaviators or call 619-683-3700.
