In this week’s show Richard and Joe welcomed a panel of guests to examine the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes.
Their first guests are Micheal Cindrich and Brandon Haw from the Gridiron Cannabis Coalition. The Gridiron Cannabis Coalition is dedicated to the advancement of medical marijuana in the modern age.
Micheal Cindrich co-founded Gridiron Cannabis Coalition and is one of San Diego’s top medical marijuana attorneys. In 2009 he was nominated by San Diego City Council member Marti Emerald to be on San Diego’s Medical Marijuana Task Force. Mr. Cindrich is an advocate for medical marijuana patients across the state of California and throughout the United States. He currently serves as the Executive Director of San Diego County NORML and is a lifetime member of the national NORML Legal Committee. He attended the California Western School of Law from 2002-2003 and received his JD from University of San Diego School of Law in 2005. He also has an MBA from the University of San Diego in 2006.
Brandon Haw was a three-year starting at cornerback for the Rutger University Scarlet Knights. Originally signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004 he signed contracts with the San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks. He also played in the European NFL for one season. He would like to help players with brain injuries, chronic pain, and other ailments. Brandon Haw joined Gridiron Cannabis Coalition to tell his story, participate in research, and become involved in the industry. Haw has been eager to see these types of organizations flourish.
In the second segment, Sapphire Blackwood and David Hua will join the show to discuss a cannabis party thrown with the LGBTQ community on June 24th.
Sapphire Blackwood works as a senior associate at Green Capital Ventures, Inc a full-service consulting corporation focused on business and community development. Green Capital Ventures’ expertise also includes real estate acquisitions, leasing, management, and green enhancements to minimize environmental impact while lowering operating costs. Her past experience includes sales, marketing, and management in wireless tech and bail bonds. She was also the LGBT field organizer for the Scott Peters for Congress Campaign 2014.
Ms. Blackwood received her BA from San Diego State University-California State University in Communication and Advertising in 2009 and her JD from the University of San Diego in 2015.
David Hua is an entrepreneur, marketer, problem solver, and catalyst. He is currently the CEO and co-founder of Meadow Care, a San Francisco-based startup whose mission is to connect cannabis patients with dispensaries for 1-hour cannabis delivery. Previously, David Hua held the position as VP of Content at HealthCentral and Director of Blogger Relations at Wellsphere. Before that, he was VP of Marketing at Genesis Interactive (GI), a company that he helped found in 2006. GI launched GotGame, a revolutionary social gaming platform that changed the manner in which online gamers communicate, as well as discover and access content.
