Hosts Richard Muscio and Joe Vecchio welcomed Tom Gephart, founder and Managing Partner of VENTANA, and Bruce Taub, President of The Fat Cat Beer Company, LLC.

Mr. Gephart founded his well-known venture capital company in 1984. Today VENTANA has funded over 100 companies with more than $3 billion in 20 different countries. VENTANA invests in industries including semiconductors, biotech and medical devices. Prior to his career in venture capital, Mr. Gephart worked in the aerospace/defense field after earning his BS degree in Engineering from University of Southern California.

The Fat Cat Beer Company recently announced a partnership with Latitude 33 to begin locally brewing Czech-styled pilsner called Bro-ceanography. This will be a limited release, and portion of the proceeds will be donated to the San Diego chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. More of these limited-time recipes are planned, and each one benefits a local charity/non-profit organization.
