Co-founder of Qualcomm, Irwin Jacobs has recently been recognized by his fellow engineers for his innovation and accomplishments within the field of digital communications. This crowning achievement for the 79 year old, who has become a champion of philanthropy in the San Diego area, comes in the form of the 2013 Medal of Honor from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
