On Sunday, May 27th, Richard and Joe interviewed Marti Emerald on their talk radio show. Marti is currently a member of the San Diego City Council representing District 7. She is running in the 2012 election to represent the newly formed District 9. District 9 is the second Latino majority district in San Diego.

Emerald was a correspondent for San Diego’s ABC affiliate for 22 years as The Troubleshooter, consumer advocate. She is a graduate of National University. Emerald has served on the Boards of Directors of Catholic Charities, the Better Business Bureau and the Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers. Marti graduated Magna Cum Laude from National University, and she lives in the College area.
