Nick Hanauer is the fourth billionaire to join our show. He is a partner at Second Avenue Partners, a successful entrepreneur and a venture capitalist. He was one of the first investors in Amazon.com back in the 1990s. In recent years, he has focused on the issue of the disappearing middle class. In a recent publication he outlines exactly why this is so detrimental in any society, “The Pitchforks Are Coming… For Us Plutocrats.”
Mr. Hanauer has also authored two books, The True Patriot and The Gardens of Democracy: A New American Story of Citizenship, the Economy, and the Role of Government.
