Richard and Joe welcomed two guests.. At the top of the hour, Professor Thad Kousser from the UCSD Political Science Department analyzed the results of the recent midterm election and voter turnout. Professor Kousser has recently been published in the LA Times with this editorial piece “Want to increase voter turnout? Here’s how.”
Next up was be Gary Robbins from U-T San Diego. Mr. Robbins has been a journalist for more than 3 decades and is an alumni of Northeastern University in Boston. The majority of his career has been spent at the Orange County Register, and he held the honorable position of Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT for the 2000-01 academic year. He is also a Science Writer Fellow at the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole, Massachusetts in June 2001. Mr. Robbins is a science and technology writer with U-T San Diego.
