Neil Senturia and Barbara Bry are integral parts of Blackbird Ventures LLC which is an investment firm that aids entrepreneurial enterprises, more specifically those that focus in the areas of emerging technology and real estate development. Mr. Senturia serves as the CEO while Mrs. Bry is the company’s chief operating officer. This married couple gives back to the entrepreneurial community within the San Diego area by teaching entrepreneurs at UC San Diego’s von Liebig Center for Entrepreneurism and Technology Advancement at the Jacobs School of Engineering, and they write a weekly column on entrepreneurship for U-T San Diego.

While Mrs. Bry’s career began in journalism, Mr. Senturia has more than 25 years of entrepreneurial experience. Currently, Mr. Senturia is the CEO of Oberon Fuels, which is developing a clean alternative to diesel fuel. Mrs. Bry is the founder of San Diego Athena, athenasd.org, San Diego’s premier organization for women technology executives and entrepreneurs.
