This Saturday, Richard and Joe spoke with Former Presidential Candidate and Governor, Michael Dukakis and former District 2 Councilman, Ed Harris. The Honorable Michael Dukakis was in San Diego speaking at a City Club San Diego event on “The State of Our Nation.” He also a visiting Professor of Public Policy each winter quarter at UCLA. Richard and Gov. Dukakis shared stories about their experiences running the Boston Marathon.

Mr. Harris came to his seat by special appointment in April of last year, and he did not take his short-term responsibilities lightly. In the summer he became very vocal about his opposition to the lease terms of Belmont Park to Pacifica Enterprises. The lease terms were rejected by the Council in a 5-3 vote in September, opening the negotiations back up for the city of San Diego to receive more return on its iconic asset.
