Richard and Joe welcomed Mike Slater, host of The Mike Slater Show which airs Monday thru Friday on 760 AM-KFMB-San Diego from 10am to 2pm. The focus of Mike’s show is best described by the 3-Ds; DEMONSTRATING personal responsibility in our lives; Being DEDICATED to making San Diego and California a better place to live; Being DEVOTED to the greatest country in the world. Slater is a true believer in capitalism and the Constitution. He invites everyone on his journey to understanding America.

Born in Denver and raised in Skaneateles NY, a small town outside of Syracuse, he attended Nottingham High School. His mother put him in a pool at age 5, and he became a competitive swimmer shortly thereafter. While swimming independently for a neighboring high school, Slater earned two state championships in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke and four All-American mentions. He went on to Yale University where he majored in History and got his first job behind a microphone at the college radio station. After graduation, he landed a talk radio job in Jackson, Tennessee at WTJS. He joined the KFMB lineup in 2011. He and his wife have settled in the Del Cerro area and are expecting their first child in October.
