The show was be filled with laughter as comedian and actor, Don Rickles joined the show. Mr. Rickles began in show business back in the late 1940s playing small roles on television. However, he became frustrated with the limited number of roles, so he branched out into stand-up comedy. Not being a man to back down from the audience-heckling he received, his act was quickly recognized for his willingness to fire back insults at the audience. As a true “insult” comedian, Mr. Rickles blanketed his witticisms to people of all ethnicity and walks of life.
Though Mr. Rickles is in his late 80s, he has no plans to slow down. In fact, Southern California audiences will be insulted by him at his upcoming appearance at the Pala Resort and Casino on Saturday, February 16th. For a list of all his approaching shows visit www.donrickles.com.
Geo Mitrovich joined Richard and Joe after Don Rickles. As a native born San Diegan, Mr. Mitrovich has a long standing presence in state and national politics. In 1966 he accepted an appointment as administrative assistant to California Lt. Governor Glenn Anderson. While working as a press secretary at different times for two U.S. Senators (who were on opposite sides of the aisle), he began to see the dire need for a forum to discuss political ideas that were not clouded by party bias.
Therefore, Mr. Mitrovich founded the City Club of San Diego in 1975, a non-partisan forum. A decade later, he went on to found the Denver Forum. Since their founding, these two forums have bought attention to more than 1500 programs in the public interest. In addition, the forums are constantly being ranked among the 10 of the nation’s best forums.
