Listen to Podcast of the Show

The show welcomed back Tom Mcloughlin, Head of Municipal Bond Research at UBS. Tom heads up research and strategy efforts related to the municipal bond market.

Tom is based out of Manhattan, and he had been dealing first-hand with the effects of super-storm Sandy. The city, like much of the Northeast Coast had power outages for several days in a row. Tom recounted the havoc that the city has faced during the first 30 minutes of our interview, which was taped on Wednesday, Oct. 31st. This crippling storm shut down mass transit and forced residents to dig out from the chaos left in its wake.

The second half of the interview focused more on Tom’s area of expertise, municipal bonds. However, the discussion inevitably settled on the economic repercussions of hurricane Sandy. While this storm only made landfall on the Northeast, the economy of the country as a whole will feel its effects. Join us for a riveting firsthand account of Sandy and how she will continue to make her impact on the entire country. thomas-mclouglin-government-debt-expert
