This week Joe welcomed seasoned and respected attorneys Sharon Blanchet and Lesa Christenson from ABC Family Law in San Diego. Sharon Blanchet, Esq. brings the voice of reason and creative solutions to the highly charged atmosphere surrounding divorce. Sharon earned her JD from Western State College of Law in 1986 (now Thomas Jefferson Law School), where she was the student body president.

Lesa Christenson, Esq. focuses on achieving legal results that put her clients in the best position possible to move forward with their lives. As a founding partner of ABC Family Law in 2000, Lesa knows that cases often change course during the divorce process. While a case may start out amicably, the client may need more aggressive representation if critical issues, such as custody, child support or spousal support, cannot be amicably resolved. Lesa is adept at recognizing the need to change course in a case, and to implement the changes necessary to protect her clients’ interests.

Lesa was also educated in the San Diego area where she attended the University of San Diego for both her undergraduate and JD degrees.

ABC Family Law Supports and Donates for Free Pet Adoptions

In the 2nd half of the show. Joe interviewed Sharon Blanchet along with Pam and Phil Reed, the Reed Team of Willis Allen to discuss their charitable work and generosity in underwriting pet adoptions for the San Diego Humane Society. Kelli Schry of the SDHS was also in studio and shared some good data and information.

Sharon and the Reeds teamed up before the winter holidays and collectively donated $20,000 to cover all pet adoption fees for the week prior to Christmas. The Whiskers in Wonderland program was a resounding success resulting in 386 free pet adoptions by San Diegans in 7 days. CBS TV8 coverage

The San Diego Humane Society has three locations and houses 1500 animals for adoption. There are 45,000 pets recovered per year in San Diego and among all the refuge and pounds, San Diego has just now reached the point where they no longer euthanize pets.

The SDHS also has a foster program for those who would like to think about having a pet or caring for one until it’s adopted. Information about their foster program, and the application to apply, can be found here.

And with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, Sharon is at it again with the “Adopt your One and Only” — for single pets.
